Cancer Survivorship

In June we celebrate National Cancer Survivors Day. There are more than 10 million cancer survivors in the United States.

National Cancer Survivors Day is an annual, worldwide celebration of life that is held in hundreds of communities throughout the United States, Canada, and other participating countries. Participants unite in a symbolic event to show the world that life after a cancer diagnosis can be a reality.

National Cancer Survivors Day is generally celebrated on Sunday, June 4, 2006. At Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, we celebrate Survivors Day throughout the month of June. Events include cake and ice cream socials, barbecues, a healing arts program, the Hands of Hope quilt, and a special speaking engagement featuring dog sledding champion and cancer survivor DeeDee Jonrowe. In addition, the Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers Foundation holds the 7th Annual Spirit Sprint on Saturday, June 17, 2006. Click here to visit our community calendar for a listing of events in June.

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers salutes cancer survivors in Colorado and throughout the country.
