Patient Care Philosophy
My professional philosophy of care is built on a foundation of compassion, empathy, and the drive to continually improve patient care and the patient experience. I strive to maintain a patient-centered focus and aim to build trusting relationships through active listening, education, and honest guidance. My patients are not their diagnoses. I recognize each is on a journey of survivorship no matter where he/she stands on the cancer diagnosis continuum. Meeting patients where they are, identifying and supporting their values, and utilizing RMCC and community resources help meet patient needs and offer optimal, comprehensive care.
My areas of interest include patient and staff education, cardio-oncology, and cancer survivorship.
