On Saturday, August 8th Team RMCC participated in the B Strong Ride in Boulder benefitting the George Karl Foundation and Boulder Community Health Center for Integrative Care. Some team members opted for the epic 69 mile mountain loop which included a nearly 5,000 foot elevation gain, while others chose the 24 mile ride with an elevation gain of 1,000 ft. Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers is a proud sponsor of this event now in its 5th year. The event, founded in 2011 by two avid cyclists, one a cancer survivor from Boulder and the other one of the doctors that saved his life, is a celebration of survivorship and a chance to give back to the local cancer community. Last year the Center received an $115,000 donation in support of its work providing services to cancer patients, as well as wellness and integrative care consultation. The George Karl Foundation received $50,000. To learn more about the B Strong Ride visit bstrongride.com.
