If you are facing a cancer diagnosis, having the ability to access your care along with other services in one convenient and trusted location can make a meaningful difference. It can ease the burden of coordinating appointments, reduce time spent traveling between facilities, and give you more time and energy to focus on what matters most: your health and wellbeing.

At Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers (RMCC), our full-service cancer centers bring together the expertise and resources you need under one roof. Serving as your cancer care home, you will receive coordinated, personalized care from physicians, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and other experts working together to support you. From diagnosis through treatment and survivorship, our team is focused on providing the highest quality care and helping you achieve the best possible outcomes.

Comprehensive Services That Support Every Stage of Cancer Care

From diagnosis through treatment and recovery, RMCC offers compassionate care and services every step of the way. Below are some of the resources you will find at your cancer center.

Diagnostic Imaging (PET/CT)

Diagnostic imaging services, including PET and CT scans, are conveniently located at many of the RMCC locations throughout Colorado. These advanced imaging tests help your oncologist diagnose and stage your cancer, develop a personalized treatment plan, and monitor how your treatment is working.

By offering imaging services on-site, you can often meet with your cancer specialists and complete important imaging tests during the same visit. This convenient, coordinated approach can help reduce stress and save time. It also gives your care team faster access to imaging results, helping them make informed decisions about your care.

Infusion Suite

As part of your personalized cancer treatment plan, your RMCC medical oncologist may recommend therapies that are delivered by IV infusion, including chemotherapy, hormone therapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy.

Each RMCC location features a state-of-the-art infusion suite designed to provide a welcoming space for treatment. Our oncology-certified nurses are trained on how to safely administer and monitor your infusion therapy while providing compassionate support. Whether answering your questions, helping manage side effects during treatment, or making you feel more comfortable, our infusion suite team is focused on meeting your needs.

Laboratory Services

Your oncologist will run blood tests before providing each treatment and at other times, as needed, to monitor your progress. RMCC features laboratory services at each of our locations, making these tests as convenient as possible for patients.

In-office lab work also improves the efficiency of our cancer specialists, who can communicate directly with the lab team if any additional information is needed from the patient. Many blood test results can be made available quickly, which helps your care team make informed and efficient decisions about your treatment and next steps.

Medically Integrated Pharmacy

Another benefit of choosing RMCC is the convenience of an on-site pharmacy at many of our locations. This allows you to fill your cancer-related prescriptions, including supportive care medications, just steps from your oncologist’s office, infusion suite, and laboratory services.

At RMCC, our pharmacists specialize in oncology and hematology-related medications. They coordinate closely with our oncologists to ensure you receive all the medications you need as part of your personalized treatment plan. They will also help each patient understand when to take their medications at home and what to do if they experience side effects. Patients can also discuss insurance coverage with the pharmacy team and how to obtain financial assistance through nationally recognized programs.

Nursing Triage

Cancer affects everyone differently, and treatment side effects can vary based on your individual diagnosis, treatment plan, and how your body responds to therapy. To help you manage symptoms and address any concerns between appointments, RMCC oncology triage nurses are available to help. They can be reached at any time – day or night.

These specialized nurses can answer questions and provide guidance to help manage side effects at home. If something needs closer evaluation, they can quickly connect you with your oncologist to determine if you should seek medical assistance right away or if a change in your treatment should be made. This helps ensure you receive timely support and coordinated care throughout your treatment.

RMCC offers scalp cooling to eligible chemotherapy patients to help reduce hair loss. A specialized cap lowers the scalp’s temperature before, during, and after treatment, which limits blood flow to hair follicles and helps patients keep more of their hair.
